Donating money
There are many ways you can donate money to Kirkcaldy Foodbank. Any contribution you make will make a massive difference to those facing food insecurity in the local area. We need your support to continue being able to provide this essential aid to those in need and fight food poverty.
Together we can make change.
Why donate?
Nobody should go hungry
Unbelievably, more than 1.2 million people in Scotland are facing food poverty. We see more than 800 people a week at Kirkcaldy Foodbank from all walks of life, backgrounds age, genders and ethnicities. Hunger doesn't discriminate and anyone can be at risk of food poverty. Sadly, more than 33% of the food we give out goes to children. Children feel the effects of hunger the hardest and it can affect a child's ability to grow, learn and engage with school and play.
Stronger communities for all
We're striving for a community where no-one gets left behind and by donating you can help to ensure there is a safety net available for all should times get tough. You never know when it could be you or someone close to you in need of help. It could be a friend or a family member, even your child's teacher or a nurse who needs help themselves. Caring about one another and supporting those in need helps brings us together. Helping people back on their feet enables them to get back on track quicker, leading to a more stable and efficient society for us all.
Over 1/3 of the people we support are children
Doing your bit to make a difference
It's human nature to be compassionate and help others. If everyone shared what they had and thought a little more about the person next to them, we would all have a fairer, happier world for us all to enjoy. Do what you can to make the life of someone else that little bit better today. Every contribution makes a difference and it is in giving that we can do our part to make the world a better place.
No-one should go without access to basic food
